October 12: Staying grounded, Psyched-style

Posted by: dettmanr in Untagged  on

Many of you are so entrenched in the humdrum of heavy, everyday reality that you're yearning to feel lighter and more spiritual. But for those of you who've started seriously/regularly dabbling in activities that bring you closer to Source, you may be feeling a little overwhelmed or lost in your head. Here's a whimsical excerpt from my novel, Psyched In Stilettos, which illustrates how 'un-grounding' can easily happen, and some sure-fire ways to fix it:

October 5: Turn hate to love

Posted by: dettmanr in Untagged  on

We all have that one person in our life who we just can't staaaaand. You know who I mean: the ex-boyfriend who makes your hackles rise just thinking about the years you wasted with him; the uncle who you've stopped speaking to; that bitch in high school who spread horrible lies about you; the con man who sent your company bankrupt; or the thieves who stole your favourite heirloom ring. Here's a question: if you could take revenge on the people you hate in your life... would you?

September 28: Three of the best

Posted by: dettmanr in Untagged  on

So many interesting tidbits happening in the world this week, I have to cram them all into my blog, however unrelated. Thus, the following paragraphs in a nutshell: 1) The year's most spine-tingling spiritual TV show; 2) Some important health information that could change your life; and 3) A psychic accurately predicts the Grand Final...

September 21: I disagree with 'the future'

Posted by: dettmanr in Untagged  on

This week, I felt quite frustrated while reading Catherine Bauer's article 'Into the Crystal Ball' in the Eastern Courier. A Sydney bloke named Richard Watson who calls himself a 'futurist' has written a book entitled Future Files: A history of the next 50 years and there's just one problem with it: I feel that his predictions are short-sighted, unoriginal and wrong.

September 14: No more bad news

Posted by: dettmanr in Untagged  on

Every now and then a ray of hope shines through all this desperate earth muck. Just when I don't think the media can get any more stupid, dangerous, negative, sensationalist, unoriginal and fear-based (can you believe President Obama talked about renewing the 'war on terror' at the 9/11 commemorations? Puh-leeeze - WHAT war on WHAT terror?! Oh, Barack, I thought you were so far beyond that!!), this happens:

September 7: Mysterious Star Talk

Posted by: dettmanr in Untagged  on

I might be a psychic, but I'm no astrologer. I don't do the whole star-sign thingy - it's a whole, other complex science that goes right over my head. Don't get me wrong: I read my horoscopes and can spot an anally-retentive Virgo at ten paces, but don't ask me to draw up your chart any time soon. That said, three quite fascinating zodiac insights have lately come my way, and naturellement, I feel inclined to share them with you...

August 31: Are you being 'dumbed down'?

Posted by: dettmanr in Untagged  on

This morning I was swept up in a fever of excitement as everybody on Facebook took the Book Nerd test: a list of 100 well-known novels of which, according to the BBC, the average person has only read about six. I was quite chuffed to learn that I had, in fact, read

August 24: Do you remember your Soul Contract?

Posted by: dettmanr in Untagged  on

Lately I've been speaking to people a lot about their soul contracts. In other words: before you came down to earth, you sat down and did a serious evaluation of where you soul's up to, and where it is going. You thought, 'Well, if I MUST go back down in to the third dimension and deal with all that heavy human drama, I'm going in armed with a constructive check-list of things I plan to achieve, to make it worthwhile'.

August 17: How much is your life $worth$?

Posted by: dettmanr in Untagged  on

Last year, there was a lot of hubbub on the Net when a Perth bloke named Ian Usher announced he was selling his entire life on eBay: his house and everything in it, his car, his motorbike, even his friends and his job (in a rug store), to the value of $AU500,000. Now two Aussies have gone one better: they are GIVING AWAY everything they own, FOR FREE.

August 10: Bring back your invisible friend

Posted by: dettmanr in Untagged  on

Last week I received an excellent emailed question from someone curious to know:
How do you know when it is an intuitive power and not just brain chatter?
