Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed how an acupuncturist helped her find love. The Hollywood actress credits the alternative therapy with guiding her towards a "new level" in her life. She told Vanity Fair magazine it enabled her to choose Coldplay frontman Chris Martin as the person to settle down with - the couple married last month and are expecting their first baby. It also gave her the strength to cope with the death of her beloved father, Bruce Paltrow, who died in October 2002, the same month she and Martin got together.

"I never knew I could suffer so much," Gwyneth said. "And then, at the same time, you think, now I'm ready to open myself up to life in another way, to make it worth something and make it about the right things and not waste time." Talking about her pregnancy, the 31-year-old Oscar winner Gwyn told the magazine: "I'm thrilled about it. It's such good news, especially after such a bad year. "It's just amazing to know that I'm going to have something new that will be a quarter my dad."

Close pal Madonna said she was delighted Paltrow had settled down with "country boy" Martin, who grew up in Devon. "We have this fantasy that I'm going to end up living in the countryside of England with her, and we're going to ride our bikes to visit each other," Paltrow said.
